Yankee Institute Journalism Internship:

The Yankee Institute for Public Policy recently launched a media project and is looking for journalism interns interested in investigative reporting. Applications are now being accepted.

The internship program will include research, reporting, writing news articles and creating multi-media projects. Applicants should have an interest in journalism and related experience. Full-time (32-40 hour) and part-time (20-32) internships are available.

Internships may qualify for college course credit, though that depends on the individual academic institution and the specific requirements of that institution. Interns are responsible for determining the extent to which college course credit may be available from their institution, as well as for managing any other related duties.

Spring 2012 Fellowships: Applications are now being accepted!

Summer 2012 Internships: Applications for the Summer 2011 Internship Program will be accepted beginning March 1, 2011.

Fall 2012 Internships: Applications for the Fall 2011 Internship Program will be accepted beginning July 1, 2011.

Spring 2013 Internships: Applications for the Spring 2012 Internship Program will be accepted beginning October 1, 2011.


Internships

 

The Yankee Institute for Public Policy Internship Program offers participants the opportunity to work at Connecticut’s only free market, limited government think tank, located on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford.

A Full-Time Internship requires a commitment of 32-40 hours per week.  Internship duties include serving as a Research Assistant to our Senior Policy Analysts, managing the Yankee Institute databases, and general office administration functions.

A Spring/Summer Part-Time Internship requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week and focuses primarily on database management and general administration.

A Summer Part-Time Internship requires a commitment of 20-32 hours per week and focuses primarily on database management and general administration.
